The magazines didn’t do him justice.
Not long after running away from home, Dani Isabella joins Moonlight Drive’s 1985 Live and Wired tour, hoping her long-lost friend, Nick, will remember her.
He’s finally made it — just like he promised. He’s the bassist for one of the biggest rock bands in the world.
Only, he’s reinvented himself and doesn’t recognize his childhood sweetheart. Nicki Quick has been seduced by the decadent lifestyle of the music scene of the eighties, lost in a haze of sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll. And to Nicki, Daniela is just another chick in a long line of groupies.
He soon finds she isn’t like the other girls, though. Music runs through her veins — it’s part of her soul. She’s a songwriter. A dreamer. A girl determined to make it in a boys’ world.
This is the story of two musicians. A boy and a girl. A man and a woman.
Two people who learn that being lost is sometimes the same as being found.
Two souls. Breathless. Poetic. Stardust.
The journey of two souls passing each other like ships but connected deeply for all of eternity. Nick and Dani. There is no one without the other.
I felt their energy throughout the book. I felt all of it. The heartbreak. The loss. The love. Everything. The author’s story telling style is magnificent. She makes you feel things deeply. My heart went out to both of them. I could relate to a lot of what Dani went through. I’ve known quite a few “Nicki’s” in my lifetime. This story hit home in a few ways. The story is well written. I found it very hard to put down. I devoured it!
Once I finished the book, I laid on my bed for a long time. My heart felt full. I felt like I had gained something special by reading this book. I am suffering from the most wicked book hangover I’ve ever had but I’d do it all over again. If you’re a fan of the muse the author used and love those one of kind romances, this book is for you. Do yourself a favor and read it today! I give it 5 stars.
