After a hundred-year hibernation to mend her broken heart, widowed storm dragoness Ēostre awakens to a world ruled by technology. Human beings are none the wiser to the existence of the paranormal, but in the modern era of mobile phones and the internet, keeping it secret is easier said than done.

Despite rekindling old friendships and bonding with the new additions to her son’s family, nothing fills the hole left by her beloved. Her second chance arrives when she feels an inexplicable attraction to Maximilian, her deceased mate’s best friend, a fire dragon with a temperament to match her own.

Maximilian plans to become the next leader of the United States, but his future with Ēostre is jeopardized when a ghost from his past becomes his new adversary. As the heat between them rises, so does the threat to Maximilian’s life. Everyone isn’t ready for mortals and supernaturals to coexist — someone would sooner see him dead.

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

Eostre never thought she would find love again. Her mate had died many years ago and she had mourned him fiercely. Among Dragons, you found only one mate for life. Max had awakened those feelings, feelings she thought were buried. Max was her mate’s best friend. Max couldn’t help the feelings he had towards Eostre but was unsure how to go about professing his love. The pull between the two was undeniable.

A new age among the Dragons is coming. There are some that welcomed it and some that were strongly against it. Maximillian and Eostre have the same vision in that humans and dragons can live as one. Dark forces have come out to play and no one is safe.

What a story! Vivienne Savage has done it again! I LOVED it!! I am a huge fan of the Loved by The Dragon series and always look forward to a new book. The authors do an amazing job in creating these mystical creatures while giving them a modern day touch.  I think I have fallen in love with Max! I want to point out while there is some politics involved in the story it doesn’t overrun or takeaway from the story. I give this 5 stars!
