Redemption: Part Six by Kate Benson – My Review

Title: Redemption: Part Six *Audiobook*

Author: Kate Benson

Release Date: September 8th 2020

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Erotica

He said he’d never let things go this far, but a taken heart can be a deceptive one.
Adam and Isabella’s romance had completely turned their lives upside down.
The board was coming for them, their stalker waited, the media fueled the fire.
What began as a chance at redemption was always meant to end the same way.
They just never dreamed they’d be fighting for his instead of hers.

Despite her insecurities, Adam kept his promise, remained close to Isabella’s side.
With a heavy loss looming, she knew her options were down to one.
Adam forbade it, but this time she knew she couldn’t obey him.
The day she met him, he’d offered her a chance at redemption.
She’d sacrifice everything, even her own heart, to give him the same.

I was not ready for this series to be over. We’ve been through so much!

Adam and Isabella’s relationship has been tested many times. The day had come for them to see what fate awaited them. I was a mess! I was rooting for them right from the start. Isabella made some choices that had me saying “Oh no baby, what is you doing?!” Love makes you do crazy things. The soothing and pleasant voice of Mr. Zaba brought the book to life. Oh Miss Benson how you’ve wrecked me! I give this 5 stars.

Redemption: Part Five (The Vault Book 5) by Kate Benson – My Review

Title: Redemption: Part Five (The Vault Book 5) *Audiobook*

Author: Kate Benson

Release Date: June 4th 2020

Genre: Erotica

Disaster put a lot into perspective.
Isabella thought she’d made her peace with losing everything in the name of love.
There was a piece of her soul that yearned for it to swallow her whole, offer them a means to an end.
Her life had become one disaster after another, but one truth would always remain.
She’d never survive losing him.

The moment Isabella came crashing into Adam’s life, something shifted inside him.
With one taste, he knew he’d never be able to live without her.
He’d sworn he’d protect both his empire and the love of his life but saving her could mean losing everything else.
When he’s forced to choose, which would be his redemption?

It’s no secret that I am hooked on Adam and Isabella’s story. What’s not to like? Drama, suspense, and that slow burn between them. Hotness! That ending though…..it’s a good thing I had Zacahry Zaba’s pleasant voice to smooth it over. I am left wanting much more and I think that is exactly Miss Benson’s plan. Nice one. I highly recommend this series! I can’t wait to listen to the next! I need it NOW!! I give this 5 stars!

Interview with an Author featuring Dolyn Keys

The Literary Vixen presents…

Joining us today is Dolyn Keys! Her highly rated book, sEXperiences released on February 1st 2018.

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

After I kept reading erotica novels! I thought to myself, “I’d love to write something like this, and also insert parts from my real life into the books”.

What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?

I’m so OCD that it’s ridiculous, but I’m completely disorganized when writing. I have to be inspired. I write most of my books in restaurants. I’ll order a drink and an appetizer and then go sit and write for HOURS. Can’t do that now with the Covid 19….everything is closed.

How many books have you written? Which is your fave?

I’ve written 3. All of them are my favorite. The RN Diaries is more reflected in the work ethic side of me and my hustle. sEXperiences, reflects my love life and experiences while dating.

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

I’m a nerd. I’ve always loved to read and will read anything I can get my hands on.

Do you hide any secrets in your books that only a few people will find?

Absolutely, there’s no fun in it if you don’t do that!

What was your hardest scene to write?

My hardest book to write right now is RN Diaries 3, I don’t know who to kill? I’m currently stuck on chapter five…Idk how long it’s going to take me to write it. I just don’t know what direction to take my girls Nadia, Kensington, and Vanity.

Do you hear from your readers? Have you experienced a weird fan girl moment?

All of my readers are my facebooks friends. They are my spirit animals and they’re just as fucking crazy as I am. Love them. They might fan girl over me, but if I ever meet them I’M GOING TO BE THE ONE FAN GIRLING! Because it’s like….OMG, I had no idea it was so many other crazy people in the world like me !! My readers are awesome.

Have you ever gotten reader’s block?

I have it now, RN 3 should’ve been done a year or even 2 ago. I just don’t wanna kill any of my characters, and I can’t write anything else yet, because I owe it to my readers to finish the series! This is going to be tough.

What advice would you give to other authors?

DO NOT release a series unless you have already written the entire series. I’m never doing it again lol

What is the one thing you want people to know about you and your books?

I wrote these books, because when I die I want to leave something behind that will be here forever. How long ago did Shakespeare die? We’re still reading his books today! We’re still reading books like the Iliad, The Odyssey etc. So, even when I’m dead and gone, my books will be here. Someone 100 years from now will find an read the RN diaries and say, “Damn nurses were some wild bitches at the turn of the millennium” LOL!!!!

Thank you Dolyn Keys for chatting with me! I will include her information down below. Check out her highly rated book, sEXperiences today!

Redemption: Part 3 by Kate Benson – My Review

Title: Redemption: Part 3 *Audiobook*

Author: Kate Benson

Release Date: January 21st 2020

Genre: Erotica

One night of passion meant to remain a memory, a moment of forbidden bliss, had quickly turned into more.
Isabella wanted something deeper and that was exactly what Adam gave her.
She found herself engulfed in his world of secrets, thrusted into the new reality she begged for.
She lived him, breathed him, craved him.
Would it be enough for Adam? Would it be enough for her?

He swore this was one line he would never cross with her.
Adam vowed their relationship, the one they were never meant to have, would remain untainted by his cravings, his desires … untainted by him.
But Isabella changed everything.
She changed him.
Once she handed him her submission, she scaled every wall he’d ever put up around himself.
Would he be able to shield her from the dark corners of his reality?
Would he be enough to make her stay?

Holy heck! That ending!!! What I really like about this series is how there is some conflict between the two. Nothing is easy especially the agreement and I love that the author added that touch. I love these two!! Those steamy scenes combined with Zachary Zaba’s voice, makes for a guilty pleasure read. All the pleasure and none of the calories! I give this 5 stars.

Interview with an Author featuring Cam Johns

The Literary Vixen presents…

Joining us today is Cam Johns! Her newest release, Midnight Princess (Modern Princess Collection Book 7) released on June 3rd 2020.

How long have you been writing?

I’ve been writing most of my teenage to adult life. Now, have I been writing erotica that long, NO! LOL I started with mainly poems and short stories about my life, which definitely had it’s challenges.

Describe a typical writing day.

I mainly start with listening to my “Writing Mode” playlists. I listen to the first few tracks which are Secret by Maroon 5, Silhouette & Pastel by Kenny G, Getting Late & Say Yes by Floetry then ends with Closer by Nine Inch Nails. Obviously by the time I get to that song my characters are exhausted from having sex LMAO!

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

Hmm… I really never know how to answer this question. What inspires me to write about alpha males who love to fuck… no clue. It just happens.

Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.

Jackson Turner, my first alpha, will always be my favorite. He brought the Arousing Series to life, and me quite honestly. It was the first time I realized I might actually be a decent writer!

How do you deal with emotional impact of a book (on yourself) as you are writing the story?

Okay, there were some emotional moments in the Arousing Series that brought tears to my eyes as I wrote them, as well as in the latest book release, Midnight Princess. The only way to move on from them is to watch a comedy or my favorite movie. Like I love Bridget Jones’ Diary. Renee Zellweger is funny as hell in that movie.

Are you on social media and can your readers interact with you?

Are you kidding? I wish my readers would interact with me more!! IG, Twitter, Facebook Page & Group. Email me for all I care!

When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?

I have only written one series, but I try not to build my characters too closely. Like I don’t want my alpha from Midnight Princess to be like Jackson from the Arousing Series. But there will always be an alpha!

Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with me?

Right now, I’m working on another anthology set to release in August. The name of the anthology is Internet Famous and the title of the book is Seconds. I am also putting together a short story book as well as a spinoff from the Arousing Series.

What advice would you give to other authors?

The biggest thing is to please do some research before you release your first book… or any book! Know your demographic, what covers work, what keywords work, how much your spending so you’ll know how much you need to earn, GET EVERYTHING PROFESSIONALLY EDITED! Last, don’t be afraid to ask for help.

What is the one thing you want people to know about you and your books?

I guess that I put a lot of hard work and time into what I write and publish. Just like any other indie author, we all just love a little support and encouragement along the way.

Thank you Cam Johns for chatting with me! I will include her information down below. Check out her newest release, Midnight Princess today!

~Synopsis~

After the untimely death of her grandparents, Cynthia was propelled into becoming a guardian to her younger half-sisters, Penelope and Charmaine. As they all lived under the tyrannical rule of their drunken mother, she constantly felt that this wasn’t the life that she was meant to lead. She dreamed of one day her mother becoming sober enough for her to remember that she once loved her children. Unfortunately, that day would never come, and her heart would harden with each cruel comment from her mother.

It wasn’t until her freshman year in college that she would find someone who did love her, as she deserved. Who would liquefy her hardened heart, to find the giving soul that has been hiding from her mother’s tirades. It was then that Cynthia would investigate her mother’s past, to find answers to who her mother has become. The answers that would come in the dead of night. Midnight Princess.

A standalone, opposites attract romance that will have you ready to turn the next page.

Cam Johns began her career as a published author in 2016 with the release of her first book – Arousing Consequences – to the trilogy, The Arousing Series. However, actually publishing wasn’t part of her plan. After her husband was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, she found that writing became a great way to relieve the tension and mounted pressures that come with watching someone she loves suffer from such a harsh diagnosis. It was her husband that pushed her to share her voice, regardless of how erotic that voice would become.

Live. Love. Laugh. A well-known mantra that has become her way of living. Live, by accepting the things you cannot change. Love, the ones closest to you as if there’s no tomorrow. Laugh, each day because sadness will get you no where!

Interview with an Author Featuring Ellie Sandoval

The Literary Vixen presents…

Joining us today is Ellie Sandoval! Her debut book, Carnal Sanctuary: Savannah’s Awakening Part I – An Erotic Paranormal Romance release on February 14th 2020.

How long have you been writing?

I started really young. We immigrated here from Argentina when I was just a baby. My parents fed me so many books when I was young to help me learn English. I started writing basically fanfic of my favorite books in about 5th or 6th grade. I took Hermione and Draco on some crazy side quests for a while…

I started writing original fiction and normal stupid teenager poetry in high school. That led to some scholarships and college opportunities as a Lit. Major.

Describe a typical writing day.

Oooh. Good question. I stick to a very rigged routine. I wake up pretty early to feed my kitties. Once I clean up and make some coffee, I sit down and write a minimum of two-thousand words before I do anything else. That usually takes me to lunch. After lunch I scan my email inbox and Facebook messages to see if there’s something I need to address on the business side of things. If not, I try to write another two-thousand words. I do that six days a week. That changes a little if we are inching towards a book launch or, like right now, where I have three stories being produced into audiobooks for Audible. I have to jump on audiobook approvals right away to “keep the trains moving on time,” as my editor DK loves to say. I copied this routine from Stephen King. He’s pretty frank about just sitting down and writing everyday like it’s just a normal job.

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

I think my black cat Kiki whispers them to me in my sleep. Honestly, I have no idea. It just starts flowing. Sometimes little trickles. Sometimes like a dam burst.

Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special?

Great question. I don’t know if I have a favorite, but the two that have been easiest for me to write are Savannah from the Carnal Sanctuary series and Mak from The Dragon-Shifter Diaries. Maybe because they are both awkward yet ballsy like me.

When you’re writing an emotionally draining (or sexy, or sad, etc) scene, how do you get in the mood?

Usually some music or ambient sounds that help transport me to that place, to help build that energy in me. I have playlists on my YouTube channel.

Are you on social media and can your readers interact with you?

Heck, yes! I’m responsive on GoodReads. I don’t really use my personal Facebook page. Also, the Cleo Press newsletter is a great thing to sign up to, especially with all my book and audiobook releases coming out this summer. Oh, and omigad! I’m starting to put teasers of my audiobooks up on my YouTube channel. Please, please, please subscribe! *Links down below*

When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?

Well, Carnal Sanctuary is my first series and I’m only half way through the second novel… But what works for me so far is to not have an outline written in stone. I didn’t use an outline at all for Savannah’s Awakening, the first Carnal Sanctuary book. I’m a pantser. I prefer to write by the seat of my pants. I literally had no idea that the fae characters were even fae until I was nearly finished with the book. But now that all that is established and I have loose outlines for books 2 – 4, I do give myself permission to explore paths that don’t line up with how I thought the story was going to go. I’ve just started the third part of Carnal Book 2, so I’m more than 40k words into it. I thought I was going to stick to a very tight outline throughout the entire story. But that’s not going to happen because Savannah decided she wanted to kick over the apple cart and a few other ideas that work better materialized.

That’s how I keep things fresh for me. We’ll have to see how the readers react to it. I think they’ll find that this isn’t a cookie-cutter series that always uses the same ingredients. These characters are going to grow and change and often they will die.

Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with me?

Well, Carnal Sanctuary: Savannah’s Temptation is the main thing I’m actively writing. That’s book 2 in the series and it should be out Fall 2020. I squeeze in new Chapters of Lord Primcock on days that I need a break from Astoria OR. I really want to rotate in a few more Dragon-Shifter Diary chapters too, but there are only so many hours in the day. Maybe after some of the audiobooks are fully approved I’ll have a bit more time to go visit Mak and Drake.

What advice would you give to other authors?

Read everything. All the time. And not just the stuff that’s in your genre. Write everyday. Even if it’s only a couple hundred words. And let your work suck until it stops sucking.

What is the one thing you want people to know about you and your books?

Gosssssssshhhhhh. I don’t know. Maybe that I try really hard to create three-dimensional characters that are as flawed as real-life people? And that like me, my writing is a work in progress? Eeek!

Thank you Ellie Sandoval for chatting with me! I will include her information down below. Check out

Interview with an Author Featuring Rebecca Morman

The Literary Vixen presents…

Joining us today is Rebecca Morman! Her newest release, Jealousy: The third story in The Rivermaid’s Tales released on March 20th.

What inspired you to start writing?

Needing to escape. After my daughter passed away, I had a really hard time coping and since I have always loved writing poetry, I decided to try my hand at something more difficult that would keep me occupied, keep my hands and my mind busy, for far longer than a poem.

What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?

I don’t think I have any. I mean I have to have the T.V. on but that is an everyday thing, not just when I am writing.

How do you deal with the emotional impact of a book (on yourself) as you are writing the story?

That is an excellent question. As I stated above, I lost my daughter. She was almost three months old and infant loss is something that I find very hard to write about, read about, or even hear about, but it is part of life. It’s not a fair part but still. Anywho, I don’t plot my books. I haven’t since the day I sat down with a notebook and pen and started writing E.R.A, I just let it play in my head like a movie and with that being said, R.a.L, the second book in The HayleAnna RIsing Series was very difficult for me to write. I think it took me somewhere around two months just to write the chapter that the loss happens in and the chapter after it. There would be days when I would sit and stare at the words that had come out and I wouldn’t be able to hold in the tears. I think in the end it ended up helping me though. I think that writing someone completely fictional who dealt with the same pain as me helped a lot because I got to determine how she broke and when. It wasn’t spur of the moment breakdowns every single time that I went somewhere. It was nice to be in control. So, I guess to answer your question, I cry. I let it out like there is no tomorrow and then I get back to work.

How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

So far I have 6 published books and am working on 2 more as we speak. My favorite so far would be a toss up between E.R.A and Jealousy. E.R.A being my first book, it shows just how unprepared and uneducated I was in the whole book writing process. Jealousy is the third story in the RiverMaid’s Tales and it is my latest release! In that book you can definitely see the growth and the amount of effort and hard work that is put into it. I am mostly proud of the amount of growth that I can see.

What books or authors have most influenced your own writing?

Oh good lord. Well when I first started writing it was Amelia Hutchins, now it is not so much her because she is already flying high with her success, but instead it is the other INDIES just like myself who help me believe in myself as an author.

Do you hear from your readers much? What do they say?

Oh yes! Every single day!! I love hearing their insights and thoughts on my work. I absolutely have the best fans in the whole world. They are the greatest most supportive group of readers ever and no matter what they are always encouraging! Even when I mess up royally with something, they find the positive side and root me on for not messing up worse than I did.

What book is currently on your bedside table?

The Inn by James Patterson. My husband bought it for me and it is one of my favorites now. I love all of his work!

Do you have any new series planned?

I do!!! I haven’t given it a name yet, but the gist of it is that it is going to follow a confessions columnist as she does what she does best!

If your book was to be made into a movie, who are the celebrities that would star in it?

Ohhhh that is a seriously good question that I would have to ask my fans!!

What advice would you give to other authors?

Just keep doing what makes you happy. If the story that you have written truly makes your heart happy, it is going to make someone else’s heart happy too and just like that, you’re someone’s favorite author and they hang on to every single word that you write. It is a pretty cool damn feeling!

What is the one thing you want people to know about you and your books?

I want people to know how thankful I am for being given the chance. I want everyone to know how thankful I am for them giving my books a chance. I never expected that writing one story to keep myself occupied would turn into a passion and hopefully someday a career that my husband and I can completely live off of when the kids grow up and move away! Thank you so much for taking the time to interview me. I do greatly appreciate it and wish you amazing luck, happiness, and health!

Thank you Rebecca Morman for chatting with me! I will include her information down below. Check out her newest release, Jealousy today!

Flames of Chaos (Legacy of the Nine Realms Book 1) by Amelia Hutchins – My Review

Title: Flames of Chaos (Legacy of the Nine Realms Book 1)

Author: Amelia Hutchins

Release Date: January 20th 2020

Genre: Fantasy, Erotica

Aria and her sisters return to the Human Realm of Haven Falls to find one of their own that’s gone missing. They soon discover things have changed in the Human Realm and that nothing is what it seems, including Knox, the egotistical, self-centered, frustratingly gorgeous man who declared himself King during their absence.
Sparks fly when the two enter a fiery battle of wills as Aria learns she is more than just a witch in the Hecate bloodline; she is much, much more.
Will Aria embrace her savage side to find her sister and save her family, or will she burn to ashes from his heated kisses and burning hot embrace?
Knox has ulterior motives for being in Haven Falls and never expected the little witch to show up and brazenly challenge his rule.
It was supposed to be easy; get in and get out. Move pieces into place and set the stage for the war he’s been planning for over five hundred years. Aria is his sworn enemy but something within her calls to him and he hates himself for craving the fiery kisses that have reignited his cold, dead heart. One taste, and he thought he could get her out of his system. He was wrong.
Will Knox let go of the memories of the past, driving his need for revenge that will destroy the pretty little witch he craves, or will he push the boundaries to fight for and claim what is his by right? Either way, war is inevitable. And nothing will stop him from reaching for what is his.
Epic Fantasy with heavy love-hate situations with adult situations.

This book is one hell of a ride! It is not soft or fluffy. It is dark and rough. This book was right up my alley.

The author has created a great fantasy world along with some great characters. We have witches, wolfs, vampires, magic, and more! Some I liked and some not so much but that’s part of why the book worked for me. I liked that not everyone was good. On top of the darkness, we have some pretty steamy sex scenes. NICE! It took me a bit to fully get into the story at first. Some parts I felt were repetitive and I struggled through those. That being said, as a whole, this was a pretty great read. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a dark book and this made my dark loving heart happy. I need more! I can’t wait for the next book. I give this 4 stars.
